Ladoga, Sept 20 – N. Benjamin Himes, 72, well known retired farmer, died suddenly of a heart attack at 6:30 o’clock Wednesday evening at his home in Ladoga. The deceased was born in Scott Township west of here, Oct 27, 1860 the son of Jacob and Catherine Himes. He was married to Lizzie O. Thompson, Aug 12, 1883.  Mr. Himes was an active worker in the Christian Church and had been a deacon for the past 27 years. He was also master of finance in the Ladoga Knights of Pythias Lodge.  Surviving besides the widow a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Fall of Raccoon; a granddaughter, Mildred Fall of Raccoon, and two brothers, George Himes of New Market and Perry Himes of near Crawfordsville. Two brothers, Meade and John F. a sister, Emma a half sister, Ella Dickerson and an infant daughter preceded Mrs. Himes in death. – kbz
